Christian Counseling
for Individuals & Families
... for the equipping of the
saints for the work of ministry,
for the building up of the
body of Christ - Eph 4:12
We provide counseling
to help people cope with issues such as:
-
Low Self-Esteem
-
Feeling Overwhelmed
-
Fear or Anger
-
Anxiety
-
Short-Temper
-
Unforgiveness
Many people are unable to
emotionally move beyond some past event or situation. With our help
you can gain insight into past circumstances and learn to bring some closure to
them.
With almost half of marriages
ending in divorce, we can assist couples in resolving situations and differences that
cause conflict, and help them get their marriages back on track.
Raising children is more
complicated now than it's ever been. With issues ranging from AD/HD to
bullying, many parents are overwhelmed by feelings
of
frustration and helplessness. We've helped hundreds of parents regain
a sense of control in their families, while teaching children respect for
their parents and authority.
Growing up in the fast paced
world of the 21st century is much more difficult than when most parents were
in school. We can help children who are struggling with social skills
at school, bullying or peer pressure.
Unlike traditional therapy, we
use a direct short-term process of counseling to bring a more immediate
relief to hurting individuals or families. This method allows us to provide
services without the need for assigning psychiatric diagnoses.
Insurance
We do not bill health insurance
companies.
Sessions are 30-60 minutes; the
fee is $60 per half-hour, by cash or check.
Our services are provided by Dr. Len Brassard
who holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and has over 30 years of experience
helping individuals and families work through life's challenges. Dr.
Brassard has an extensive teaching resume that includes colleges and
universities in Arkansas, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Most
recently he was an adjunct faculty member in the Psychiatry Department at
the UMass Medical Center in
Worcester, MA.
He has served as a church Deacon,
a Youth Pastor, and an adult Sunday School teacher in Mississippi and
Massachusetts. Dr. Brassard has also served on the board of directors
of an Assemblies of God church in Mississippi, and has extensive experience
providing pastoral counseling to couples and adolescents.
Brief
Testimony
"I humbly believe the
Lord has given me a gift to encourage hurting people by bringing His love,
acceptance and forgiveness into their personal lives - and not by preaching at them or making
them feel guilty. His love never fails. Please don't take my word for it, come in and see for yourself.
God Bless.
